N3-F1 L1-M a.k.a "Nephelia" is a Ranged Type Frame Girl produced by Alternate Attack. She is unique amongst Ranged Type Frames for preferring to fight in close range to land devastating attacks with her shotgun.
Appearance
Nephelia stands at 15 centimetres / 6 inches, and has long, messy pink hair that is tied into two low pigtails. She has an outwardly demonic appearance, sporting blue skin, eyes with yellow pupils and black sclera, pointed ears, and two small black horns protruding from out of her head. She also has a prehensile tail, which is long enough to be used as an additional limb and manipulator. Her ears sport two matching red earrings.
She wears a skimpy outfit consisting of a purple slitted skirt, stockings, sleeveless top, and sleeves reaching her upper arms, all with gold trim containing a crescent moon motif. She wears a pair of high heels with an open structure and matching purple-gold colouring. Additionally, she wears a brown X-shaped bandolier containing shotgun shells across her chest.
Strategy
Nephelia is a fast, fragile Frame that thrives jumping into close range for just long enough to land a blast from her shotgun, then ducking away from counterattacks.
Helped by her prehensile tail, Nephelia has exceptional balance and dexterity, enabling her to take an acrobatic approach to combat and navigate difficult terrain far better than other Frames, even being able to keep up with airborne designs such as EDIE and Metatron.
Her pump action shotgun is able to produce devastating attacks in close range, but suffers from severe dropoff as Nephelia gets further away from the target, dealing negligible damage at mid range and being unable to deal damage at all at long range. Additionally, due to needing to pump the next round after each shot fired, Nephelia is not able to fire it in rapid succession. The equipped bayonet means that Nephelia is able to use her shotgun as a melee weapon, though it is a comparatively poor choice and is typically only used if she is caught off-guard or otherwise unable to fire the shotgun normally.
When in battle, Nephelia is brave and brash, as long as she hasn't taken any damage. She will fearlessly charge another Frame Girl so she can get into optimal shotgun/bayonet range and deliver a few decisive close range blows. However, she is prone to panicking and choking if her first shot attempt fails. Training Nephelia involves learning to temper her impatience, and realizing the potential her dextrous body gives her for unconventional approaches to combat, like stealth and acrobatics, allowing her to strike from less conventional angles.
Her fragile design and tendency to panic when receiving damage mean that even glancing hits from opponents can quickly spiral into disaster. Therefore, Nephelia must be careful to stick to hit-and-run attacks and avoid trading hits unnecessarily.
Nephelia typically has a strong matchup against other Ranged Frames. Due to her high mobility, she is able to duck through cover and avoid the direct line of sight typically needed for Ranged Frames to deal damage, and is then able to easily outmanoeuvre them when in close range.
Nephelia struggles in matchups against Melee Frames who are able to keep up with her pace. Due to the inner workings of Ranged Frames, a Melee Frame as fast or faster than Nephelia will have comparatively superior defenses, and will not have much trouble simply exchanging hits with Nephlia until she loses. In these instances, Nephelia must rely more on subterfuge and stealth in order to reduce the window for counterattacks as small as possible.
Personality
Nephelias are abrasive, rude, and prone to teasing their owners over any little thing, however this is noted by owners to be a good sign for Frame/Owner bonding. As a rough guideline, the more vicious the teasing, the more a Nephelia is attached to their owner. If another Frame Girl, or another owner, teases their owner, Nephelia Frames become violently unstable, as they believe only they are allowed to make fun of their owner. They are noted for their foul mouths and loud speaking voice, but quickly fall to blubbering pieces if their owner shows any affection for them openly.
Her abrasive attitude towards her owner is typically cited by fans as one of her most appealing traits, and has led to the popularity of her model.
