M3T4-TR0N "Metatron" is a Ranged Type Frame Girl produced by Wonder Toys. Metatron is infamous for being Wonder Toys' second attempt at creating a Frame Girl capable of full flight, to much less success than their previous model, Sleipnir.

Appearance

Strategy

Metatron was designed to combine two tactically potent capabilities; flight, and large-caliber precision rifle fire. Wonder Toys' intention was to create a Frame that could swoop through the air, delivering powerful attacks from range in mid-air that could debilitate opponents with ease. Ambition, however, outstripped design, as Metatron's flight stabilizers simply cannot effectively keep her in the air when firing her giant rifle. Metratrons seem to instinctively know this, as there are many cases of the Frame Girl refusing to shoot their weapon at all, let alone while in the air, which contributes greatly to the Frame's lukewarm performance on the competitive stage.

Metatron owners interested in winning thus have a few options for mitigating this inherent weakness of the Frame. Owners have reported success in 'exposure therapy' for Metatrons, having them focus on shooting their rifle in controlled environments and tests until the Frame Girl is comfortable with the recoil impulse, muzzle flash, and noise. Then, they can be trained to integrate the weapon into their H.A.L.O. targeting system perfectly, enabling pinpoint accuracy. However, this does not address the primary weakness of the Frame, which is the inability to shoot while moving in the air without great risk to the Metatron. Adopters of this school of thought demonstrate a 'mobile sniper' type of play, where the Metatron uses her in-air agility to move between shooting positions, quickly set up for a shot, shoot, then move, similar to the tactics displayed by the Gwynevere Frame produced by PDC.

A secondary option is to replace the Metatron's rifle with a smaller caliber, easier to shoot option, such as the battle rifle in Tartarus' 'Mid Ranger Dominance' parts pack, or the assault rifle used by Devil Dog. These weapons possess far less energy, and while not as devastating, generally lacking the 'one shot stop' of Metatron's basic armament, prove much easier on the Frame's fragile nerves, and most importantly, flight stabilizers. This method is fairly new and has yet to place highly in a significant competitive event, but early results are promising.

Personality

Metatrons, despite their namesake being high in the hierarchy of angels, are timid, sweet, and gentle, lacking the aggression present in many Frame personality sets. They are prone to picking up hobbies with little relation to frame battling, such as birdwatching, gardening, and anything that lets them fly in a low-stress environment. They like to flit around as their owners conduct whatever business they are doing, and periodically question them, or even offer advice, a trait some owners find annoying, while some find endearing. In battle, unless trained, they are nervous wrecks, prone to surrender and not particularly resistant to the auto-shutdown state, and famously reluctant to shoot their comically large rifles.

Trivia

Metatrons were developed shortly after the Frame Girl Grace as a way of expanding the slowly growing, faith-friendly Frame Girl market, this time in a form that was a little less dedicated to one specific sect of the Christian faith. Manufactured by Wonder Toys, Metatron was also a revisit of the aerial combat frame that the company used to be dominant in with the Sleipnir frame, albeit Metatron has yet to live up to that Frame's legacy. Still, many Frame battle history enthusiasts highly regard the Metatron for being a daring engineering experiment that has mostly not lived up to its stated potential.

Metatron features heavily in Frame analysis social media channels, and is a constant source of online theorycrafting, which in part seems to fuel the Frame's success as a product despite Metatron's inherent flaws. Metatron is still sold today and shows no signs of being discontinued.
